Booking & Cancellation

  • We have 12 cabins on the property. Capacity depends on the cabin:

    • Sleeps 3: Cabin 3 (Velvet Pine), Cabin 5 (Trailside Escapes), Cabin 8 (Cozy Hollow)

    • Sleeps 5: Cabin 1 (Barnwell Lodge), Cabin 4 (Copper Creek)

    • Sleeps 6: Cabin 2 (Gilded Pine), Cabin 6 (Woodlands Escape), Cabin 7 (Hidden Haven), and Cabins 58, 59, 61 and 62 (Whispering, Moonlight, Stillwater and Tranquil Pines)

    Every cabin has a full bathroom and a full kitchen.

  • Yes! Traveling with a larger group? Book multiple cabins. The cabins are laid out in numerical order.

  • Cancellation terms are set for each cabin and vary by cabin and by the platform you book through. Please review the terms on your cabin's booking page before you reserve, and they will also appear in your booking confirmation. If your plans change, message us or call (903) 762-8000. We've helped guests change dates, extend stays and rebook.

  • Often, yes. Message us through your booking and we'll do our best to make it work, depending on availability.

  • Yes. Children and infants are welcome in all of our cabins.

Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in is at 3:00 PM. The day before you arrive, we message you with finding-your-unit instructions. Your entry details are sent shortly before check-in.

  • Most cabins use a keypad. After you enter the four-digit code, turn the deadbolt. A few cabins use a lockbox with a key inside. We'll send you the exact steps for your cabin before you arrive.

  • Sometimes. Early check-in and late check-out have been arranged for guests in the past, depending on availability. Please ask us in advance. Late check-out may carry a fee.

  • Check-out is at 11:00 AM and is contactless. Before you go, please:

    • Empty the fridge

    • Wash your dishes

    • Take all bagged trash, inside and outside, to the dumpster near Cabin 1

    • Lock the door behind you

Finding Us & Getting Around

  • We're at 6585 Hwy 155 in Gilmer, TX, directly across the highway from Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area. When you pull in the main entrance, Cabin 1 is to the right. All other cabins are to the left, in numerical order. Each cabin has its number on the porch.

  • Free parking is available on the property. For large trailers, please use the open area near the dumpster by Cabin 1. It has its own easy entrance and exit to the highway.

Cabin & Amenities

    • Fully equipped kitchen: stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, dishes and utensils

    • Keurig coffee maker with k-cups, plus locally roasted coffee in some cabins

    • Bed linens, towels and pillows

    • Starter toiletries and paper goods

    • A/C and heat, TV and Wi-Fi

    • Outdoor patio or porch seating and a grill

    We're set up for relaxing, but bring the things you can't do without. We aren't on site, but we're always a message away.

  • Yes. Wi-Fi is available. Your network name and password come in your check-in message.

  • Most cabins have an in-unit washer and dryer. We also have new laundry facilities on the property for all cabin guests. These are pay-per-use.

  • Fire pits are available at several cabins. Campfires are allowed in the designated pits unless a county burn ban is in effect. Our stocked pond is open for fishing (catfish, bass and bream, with catch-and-release preferred). Bring your own gear. Please don't swim in the pond.

Pets & House Rules

  • No. We have a strict no-pets policy in all cabins. Guests who bring pets are charged an extra cleaning fee.

  • No smoking inside the cabins.

    • No parties or events

    • Please remove muddy shoes outside

    • Please keep vehicles on open roads, and no off-roading on our property

    • Please be respectful of neighboring guests

    • Please return any outdoor furniture you move to its original place

    • Please enjoy yourself and make memories!

  • Yes. The off-road trails are directly across the highway at Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area. The park asks that you enter in a licensed vehicle. Details at BarnwellMountainRA.com.

Something not working?

  • Message us right away and we'll get it fixed. Quick tips: if the hot water isn't working, check that the switch by the kitchen sink is on. If heat or A/C isn't working, make sure the bedroom and living room remotes are set to the same mode.
